TRUNK is pleased to announce that, together with its parent company Take and Give Needs, our group has been recognized with the highest distinction, “Best Workplace,” in the D&I Award 2025, a program that certifies and honors companies committed to diversity and inclusion (D&I).

In our group, we view the enrichment of each employee’s life, mind, and overall well-being as an essential mission—particularly in the hospitality industry, where the value created by people directly impacts quality. For this reason, we have placed strong emphasis on promoting D&I.

At TRUNK, where many of the team members come from various countries and regions, diversity is one of our defining characteristics, and we were able to receive high recognition in the category of “Multicultural Coexistence.” To ensure that employees whose native language is not Japanese can seamlessly access and stay up-to-date with necessary information, we have been implementing translation of internal documents, training programs, and various internal tools. We have also worked to foster a culture that respects mutual understanding and cultural diversity by supporting the formation of communities among employees with overseas roots and offering voluntary language lessons led by staff members.

Going forward, our group will continue to accelerate D&I initiatives, striving to create an environment where all employees can work in a way that is true to themselves.

■ Initiatives to Support International Employees

■ Initiatives to Support Individuals with Disabilities
・Sourcing items for the hotel and online store from welfare facilities and from companies that actively support the employment of people with disabilities.

■ Other Initiatives
・As part of activities that embody “socializing”—our hotel concept defined as “living true to oneself, without strain, and with a sense of social purpose”—a portion of hotel-wide revenue is donated to organizations, individuals, and companies selected based on their involvement in the areas of ENVIRONMENT, LOCAL FIRST, DIVERSITY, HEALTH, and CULTURE.

The D&I Award is Japan’s largest award recognizing and honoring companies engaged in diversity and inclusion. Companies operating in Japan are evaluated based on their D&I efforts using their Diversity Score, and are certified in one of four categories: Beginner, Standard, Advanced, or Best Workplace. The Best Workplace certification is awarded to advanced D&I companies that promote D&I at a high level not only in Japan but also globally. It recognizes organizations that not only cultivate a strong D&I corporate culture but also empower each employee to actively contribute as an individual driving D&I forward.
